Sage has traditionally been used in Herbal Medicine as a carminative to help provide relief of upset stomach and flatulence and as a diaphoretic to increase perspiration and to reduce excessive sweating. Used in Herbal Medicine to help reduce hot flashes and night sweat associated with menopause and to stop the production of breast milk (antigalactagogue).
